abstract = "This article presents an analysis of techniques and algorithms for
recognition electricity transmission lines components in aerial
images taken by aircraft Remotely Piloted (ARP). The goal is to
elect techniques to easy programming in order to require little
image processing knowledge of the technicians involved in system
operation and future expansion. Literature review compared
capabilities and characteristics of several recognition techniques
used in this context, SURF+BoW+SVM techniques was chosen for
testing considering their efficiency and simplicity. Although
popular in many application areas, no results of these technics
was found applied on electrical system components. The goal was to
verify and ensure that this unique solution allowed recognizing
different electrical components. Tests using real images acquired
by ARP were efficient in recognizing the three types of
components. The solution will allow building an efficient and
robust system for recognition of transmission line components at
the same time will add simplicity to the operation, upgrade and
expansion of its recognition capability. The inspection of
transmission networks based on ARPs is a global trend and this
article aims to enrich the discussions and developments in the
subject.",
